MrFeed® Pro50 FF - Performance
MrFeed® Pro50 FF is a high-quality feed ingredient delivered without artificial preservatives and rich in essential amino acids. MrFeed® Pro50 FF contains crude protein that is superior to commonly used feed ingredients. Highly digestible and rich in protein, vitamins and minerals, the product has been developed specifically for use in Finfish diets and provides excellent survivability, immune system support and superior growth.
MrFeed® FF has demonstrated superiority over traditional fish meal based feeds in survivability, growth and disease remediation. This has been demonstrated in both controlled lab tests and third party pond trials.
Farms in Indonesia were losing 40 fish per day before feeding with MrFeed®. With MrFeed®, fish recovered in less than 5 days.

Canada
Atlantic Salmon Growth Trial
Growth tests conducted at Prince Edward Island, Canada with Atlantic Salmon demonstrated that salmon fed a diet containing MrFeed® grew 20-30% faster than salmon fed a traditional fishmeal diet.
Sea Lice Challenge
Salmon fed MrFeed® Diets show reduced Sea Lice counts by an average of 40% compared to Salmon fed a commercial diet.
Experimental Conditions
- Fish from growth trial transferred to secured challenge tanks
- 40 fish / tank, 2 replicates per condition
- Fish exposed to approximately 100 copepodids per fish
- 1200-liter circular tanks equipped with a salt water recirculating system
Sea Lice Exposure Procedure
- Sea lice were harvested from commercial aquaculture sites in the Bay of Fundy
- Gravid females were held in the laboratory and egg strings hatched
- Hatched lice were allowed to undergo moult stages until reaching copepodid (infective stage) prior to introduction to fish stocks
- Experimental salmon were exposed to sea lice by immersion at a dose of 100 copepodids per fish
- Copepodids moult into the chalimus stages

Diet Designs
- Large mouth Bass trials conducted at the Institute of Marine Biology, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China
- Trial started May 26, 2019 and ended July 23, 2019
- A fishmeal control, poultry meal control and various inclusion levels of MrFeed® were tested
- Growth trials were conducted with 2000 fingerlings (avg weight of 9-12 g) of large mouth bass
- Trials used total of 28 tanks
- Seven diets including two controls and test diets with various inclusion levels of MrFeed® were tested, i.e., 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 12.5% and 15%
- Fish were fed by hand to satiation
- Weighing was conducted once each at the beginning and end of the trial
- Stress tests were carried out at the end of the trial during weighing of fish. Samples were taken of the blood, liver and intestinal gut at timepoints 0, 1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 h.
- Levels of glucose, cortisol and antioxidant enzymes (SOD,GPX and CAT) were analyzed
Weight Gain, FCR & Survival
Results show an overall yield improvement of >10% over fishmeal and poultry meal control diets
