Menon Renewable Products produces MrFeed® from agriculture products meeting specifications of aquaculture and aviculture industries
Amino acids, proteins, fiber, carbohydrates, prebiotics, probiotics, oils, vitamins and minerals produced in a single fermentation process at commercial scale
SAN DIEGO, JULY 15, 2014 – Construction of the plant for initial demonstration was completed and production started. Various ingredients were fermented and mixed to produce MrFeed®. Initial production of MrFeed® was demonstrated at 1,200 tons per year in 2014 and planned to scale to 100,000 tons per year by fourth quarter 2015.
“We have created a product that do not contain animal products and utilizes organic sources that are easily digested by the animals. Dr. Menon further stated, “Now that a commercial scale fermentation facility is retrofitted and demonstrated, Menon team can acquire, retrofit and utilize any existing fermentation facility to produce its products globally.”
